About The Procedure

MicroNeedling with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) delivers highly-concentrated amounts of natural growth factors and other cytokines that promote the regeneration process. Our Advanced MicroNeedling treatments use a hand-controlled Skin Pen to help the PRP penetrate into the skin, creating a controlled skin injury, stimulating collagen and elastin production.

Microneedling is a treatment that involves the use of tiny needles that produce micro-injuries to the skin. These micro-injuries stimulate the body’s natural collagen production which helps to plump and smooth the skin. As we age collagen production is reduced and slows down. To speed the healing process, we use PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) to stimulate the collagen and heal the skin. The PRP is obtained from drawing a small amount of your own blood, we spin it down in-office and extract the growth factors. The PRP is applied topically and microneedled into the skin.

What to Expect

PRP is created from a person’s own blood, and is a concentrated blend of plasma cells and specific growth factors. When penetrated into skin, it signals to active the stimulation of collagen and begin the healing process.

Before your treatment begins, a numbing cream is applied to the treatment area. The appropriate depth for the microneedling will then be selected, based on your skin type and condition. We then draw a small amount of blood while the numbing cream is activating.

After your treatment, you will experience some redness, which will continue to improve over the next few days. As your body’s natural collagen production is now stimulated, you should see the texture and quality of your skin continue to improve for up to six months. Recovery time is about one to three days depending on how aggressive the treatment. You will be provided with all the information you need about caring for your skin after your procedure.
